As part of a College project, a brand refresh identity was needed to be produced for any small or large shops or companies. I felt that the current identity for Victoria Park Café in Zetland was in need of a brand refresh, and so I decided to redesign this café’s identification in order to articulately reflect their personality and uniqueness which will allow the café to effectively distinguish themselves from other surrounding café competitors within their area, as well as increase further attraction from customers. The aim was to revitalise Victoria Park Café with a sleek, fresh and clean identity, whilst retaining the visual elements of the initial logo, but taking these components and transforming them into a stronger portrayal of the café. I wanted to convey a subtle, simple approach to the reflection of a cosy feeling generated by the café; depicting a place where it’s recognised, amongst regular customers, for its warmth and friendly atmosphere as well as a “homely” sensation. This was the primary goal intended to transmit via this logo, considering that they are known for their home-cooked food - fresh and deliciously made daily. My refreshed logo ultimately represents a more consolidated and balanced identity that has been delivered in a way that emanates a lot more merit and presence than the original identity, transmitting a perceivably more dynamic, refined and sophisticated look and feel in a modern-day context.
