An addition of a takeaway menu to their business and a new design of their current business card was created for Victoria Park Café in Zetland. Another project prior to this one involved me art directing and capturing photographs of their selected café food. Some of those images were chosen to be represented on their large café menu board and for this takeaway menu. A graphic designer produced the café's menu board by choosing the colour palette and typography, and essentially, arranging the content of the images and text. Once this was completed, the job of the menu and business card was passed onto me by the client where consistency was the key to derive from the menu board. The look and feel of their brand identity was already established from the graphic designer through the font adopted and the classic, yet sophisticated, combination of black and white colour was utilised for the board. Therefore, the client aspired to have this same portrayal of elements across the takeaway menu and the business card for a cohesive flow. As a whole, the designs emanate a perception of cohesion. Together with the menu and business card, a harmonious-looking connection and a coordinated arrangement is reflected for the representation of their café.
